That cut appears to have really helped, and they MIGHT have finally figured out that running a better operation will attract more customers and higher revenue. Delta made an intentional decision several years ago to run a more reliable operation and go after higher revenue customers (who expect a more reliable operation). It has worked well for them.

The problem as you know is that JetBlue isn’t making a profit doing what they’re doing now. Moving forward the key will be how do they add capacity while still staying out of the headlines every week about how they stranded a family of 4 who were traveling to a relative’s funeral.

You guys obviously aren’t on the 190. We are extremely understaffed over here.

Just from Watching open time it does seem the 320 side is operating pretty smooth.

Well... They aren't doing this "cut" out of the goodness of their heart. The operational disaster was cutting into loyalty and revenue, so they couldn't do well financially with the other plan anymore either. Probably have to find a better "happy medium". This cut also isn't the only reason they are losing money Q2, and they are forecasting profitability for Q3, even with the cut.

But operating more reliably to attract and retain higher value customers won't produce results in 3 weeks... It's will take time and an investment (time+money) to have that strategy pay off.

Guilty... The company created its own monster by insisting on those low E190 pay rates. Now they live with that monster until they raise the pay or it's gone.

Yeah. They really got their sh!t together. D0 is about 45% MTD. That’s what I call reliable. SMH.

Pilot RSAs every day. IROPS 3 weekends out of every 4. This place would be able to handle our 2019 workload if they could find our old efficiencies, but those people all either left or don’t care anymore. Now they’re just grinding away waiting for their shift to end. Kick the fan down the road; Leave a mess for the next guy.
