Also keep in mind they offer the system bid leftover vacancies to new hires still in training who haven’t finished IOE yet, so those 13 FLL vacancies could be reduced a bit.

This, I was awarded JFK as a new hire but switched to BOS before leaving training.

Any idea what will still be available from the last bid for a class in late April. Would there be a new supplemental bid or are all the available slots known now? Really wondering how many of the FLL 320's might still be had..

Next bid is in June. No way of knowing what it will bring. As for FLL 320 in April, might still be around as a new hire, I didn’t notice if any went unfilled, though I doubt it. The 320 will still be available for a while, have to fill over 100+ seats in the coming months.

With all the 320 slots that need to be filled, is it still such a bad idea for a new hire to take the Airbus in JFK? With 100 slots to be filled, any chance that reserve time will drop below or year?

I think It depends on when your class date would be during the 109 vacancies.

No, not a bad idea at all, especially if you’re at the front of the 100 vacancies needed by Aug 31st. All our orders are Airbus’ and its seems like they’re short over in JFK, so I think it should continue. As long as you’re not bidding “Avoid Red-Eyes, all or nothing” you’ll likely see a line 9 months-1 year I would think.

Just remember, there’s a bunch of 190 guys who, at their 1-2 year mark, will make a lot more money in the 320 who will bid in above you and keep you down. And the bottom lines on the 320 aren’t great. You’ll be doing a lot of red eyes. I’d be 50/50 in your situation on what to pick given the option. QOL will be much better your first year on the 190, but the flying in the bus is probably better (less work, more variety, but redeyes and fumes). And going to JBU for a month in the transition was a drag. Given your proximity to EWR, I’d be looking for a bus type rating for your UAL app and not having to go back to Orlando for a month for a transition. It’s worth a little longer reserve and some redeyes to me, but only you can make that decision.

I’d guess some of the 13 from last bid will still be around but no good way to know until you get there.

Next bid is in 2.5 months and the effective date for it is in December. Could be a supp bid before then but i doubt it.
