With the company basically at training capacity and horribly understaffed, you'd think they would lay off the pilot harassment. Apparently not.
Thats a pretty serious accusation. Any actual numbers/proof/facts that actually back that up? Seems odd that the folks I know working there are very happy with their job if they're being continually harassed.

Our union just sent it out in an email. They also said it wasn’t where it was percentage but actual people, which is surprising seeing that we are a third of the size of those guys.

No, it wasn't actually the union, it was a resigning union rep. He also did not use the word "combined" in relation to the numbers fired; that came later in the email when discussing pilot group size. "Combined" was just used here on APC by one of our more negative posters (though I can see where it might be interpreted that way). JB attrition in the past year is somewhere around 95 pilots, and I doubt all that the majority of those were fired.

It came two sentences after, still in context of the firings...

But go on defending the company.

I'm not defending the company, I'm trying to keep the facts straight. Only the resigning rep could (perhaps should?) clarify what he meant.

And while I have zero knowledge of WHY those pilots were fired, the fact that they were called in and terminated is due to breaking the rules. Being ignorant of the rules broken is no excuse. I'm sure JB isn't just firing people on a whim.

It's his job, literally.

Shark poster, without a doubt.
