Just my opinion, but there will always be 190 slots until the 220 is well onto property and JB starts selling 190s. (I don't see it as a 1-for-1 swap, at least not for the first few birds.) As mentioned, some of the younger folk get the 190, do a year, then move into the 320. Others like it and stay in it due to the rapid QoL movement on it. It all comes down to where you want to live and how you want to work.

I'm expecting to be at or near the bottom of my class and not get a choice, just get told lol. I'd like the QOL movement on the 190 maybe for a year or 2 but would like the 320 flying rather than regional flying. Then again all I know is regional flying.

Airplanes don’t get parked in a relatively good economy. When the music stops, the 190’s will go. Until then, why if they’re making money?

Right? We’re approaching the 400 for the year that was the goal.

I don’t think I ever heard 40 to start in nov or dec.

Ok, so it's not just me.

364 hired thru November. 15 of those have left already. 77 total attrition thru today. 4030 on the list (counting the 14 from today).

Not likely we will hit 400, but pretty close. More than the previous four years.

I think the reference was to hyperboy’s post saying 409 this year. Next class has to be yuge to hit that.

Consider where he is coming from (as I did in the other post where I responded to him). 409 hired is most likely accurate, when you combine the SL and the pool. And may well exceed 409 by years' end.

But I'm sure you think of it like I do, real numbers on a SL.

As you know, no one is “hired” until the day they show up to class. Your hire date wasn’t the day you got a welcome to the pool email. I can’t believe that HB would consider poolies “hired” either in his numbers. Maybe he will chime in over the discrepancy if he can get a break from learning French.
