The VIB Expo is for veterans that are looking for a career at JetBlue. This program is second to NONE and it is for the Vets and supported by a majority of Vets, who many have come through the VIB Expo themselves.

You just said it yourself that you aren't going to leave but for others that advice is dumb??????

The whole purpose of the post was info on VIB. A programs for veterans who want to work here just like you said you do?!

So what the problem?

He's helping them to see that they would almost certainly have a better career elsewhere. DL buys 10 more A330NEOs and launches several new trans-atlantic routes out of BOS.

JB announces... Wait for it... More flights to Nantucket....

His comments were NOT derogatory towards Vets.

Telling vets to keep their options open at other airlines is not a disservice...

He asked what the story was. I told him. Hyper, this place is not a destination. Convincing people to hang thier hat here when other more successful airlines are hiring isn't helping anybody but Giggity.

Notice I didn't say not to come here? Come here by all means if it benefits you, but getting comfortable or believing the hype is a huge mistake. This place is slowing down with no overarching vision on what it's trying to be. What decisions are being made usually involve stripping down the customer experience or ****ing off employees in pursuit of short term profits. Not a winning strategy for long term success.

Little bit of a spin on that 330 order
They pulled a JetBlue. Order 10 defer 10.

Ah, didn't know that, just read the headline. Of course they did announce several new trans-atlantic cities out of Boston. But we answered back robustly with connecting HPN to Nantucket.

Default My take on VIB. . .

Here's my take after about four years of sending three Navy/Marine buds, all qualified, to VIB. . one of them even went to two VIB. Out of the three, one received an interview about three weeks after attending. He went through the interview, only to be told that he wasn't current (had been in a staff job the past two years) and would need to get 200 hours in the next year. . .a conditional job offer was given, a phone number of someone given to him and told to call when he had his time. He subsequently went to Frontier, sat reserve there for six months. . .and was then offered a job by both FedEx and UAL. He tried calling the number that was given to him at JB and left voicemails. . . no one ever returned his call. The other two friends were never called for an interview. I won't waste anymore of my friends time. I am sure it is a valuable job fair for some however my experience in recommending people to attend was a ramp strike.

Just looked closer. They did defer 10 A350s for a later delivery date (didn't cancel the order), and added an order for A330neo. So this is still an incremental increase in wide-body aircraft.

But we do have new 20 min blocks to Nantucket.

We are so awesome.
