Life’s too short to be so mad all the time. Chill out and you might enjoy it.
You know what would make me happy? Giving my PA while holding a blow up doll.

Haha. I’d just not make it a deal and say they were very ugly females. Since that’s what they are trying to be.

They did this to a plane full of families.

And no one cares. Where are the lines of veterans deciding not to apply to JB because of a marketing stunt?

Yep... Dude, POG, it’s time to tone down the rhetoric. Nobody cares about the **** you spew.

I’ve seen combat...a man in a wig doesn’t even raise an eyebrow. Just keep it brief so I can close my eyes and get some rest in the back.

I wouldn't close your eyes, or you might get more than rest in the back...

Default Vets in Blue Events?

Has anyone heard of any Vets in Blue (Hiring Expo) events going on in the near future?

If you are a military aviator, you should be golden and won't need Vets in Blue- submit your application. This job fair is mainly for E-dogs. (Enlisted that have become pilots).

Ummm I don’t think this is accurate. I’ve worked several VIB events and the majority of candidates I talked to were mil pilots. I don’t have the hiring stats of people hired from VIB, but of all the people I know hired thru VIB (which was a large number from my class, and a large number I’ve talked to), most were mil pilots. I also know plenty of mil pilots who have not attended VIB and haven’t gotten an interview, and plenty who have gone to VIB who also have not gotten an interview. Bottom line is being a mil pilot is no guarantee for an interview...if I were interested in JB and a mil pilot, I would try to go.

Also, fwiw, VIB is typically around Veterans Day and draws invites from whomever has indicated veteran status on the preceding application window. If you want to go, I recommend applying to every window. I know some people who applied to one window, thought they were good, but a subsequent window had opened and their app was purged (as they are every time a window opens). Perhaps hyper can chime in with those stats or further comments.

I've heard talk around the water cooler that the hire rate from these events is around 10-11%.
