When I was hired
2011 app in June interview in August class in October phase 2 complete while in training.


I wonder how many people pass the interview and end up going other places before we hire them.
In 2012-2014 waiting a year was the norm. In the early 2000’s many had to apply 2,3,4 or more times just to get a call.

Whiles times have changed, this still isn’t an instant gratification event.

Interviewed July 9th
Started phase 2 a week later
Phase 2 complete email October 14th

Now in the Blue pool!!!

I guess 2011 was a freak year.
I don’t know coolhand there is a large difference between instant gratification and what “could be” a year.

That was my thought exactly through this whole process. I gotta think a hand full of people move on while waiting so long.

Especially after having to deal with GIS as a company. I found dealing with them rather off putting, and felt that it didn't reflect well on JetBlue for utilizing them. Best thing JB could do is to bring the background verification process in house IMHO.

Couldn't agree more. But I imagine it is a cost issue. GIS seems like the best example of the lowest bidder wins the contract. I talked to a few folks there who sounded like they personally cared about trying to help me but I got the feeling that maybe the system they are working within is so inefficient they are stuck. GIS would do well as a federal government contractor!
