That's a lot of words, but you couldn't quote a post from me that actually indicates my life sucks. Period.

You misunderstand my posts and their purpose. Like anyone who is ignorant of the context, you don't know what you don't know.

The fact that you think you can judge the full measure of my life by some internet posts that you don't understand is truly remarkable.

Actually, his post was spot on and I think a lot of others would agree.

Sorry man, but his post has a lot of truth in it. On this board you come across as bitter and spiteful in the vast vast majority of things you post. I read these boards quite extensively when deciding wether to come to JB or not. Unfortunately your posts were always so over the top negative that it made it hard for me to take anything you said seriously. I have no doubt you bring up some very valid/legitimate points. But the the ridiculous amount of pessimism in all of your posts overshadow the validity of your claims.

Ok Quiet Storm, Minimums and Wipeout (and the rest of you), if you've been reading my posts for a long time you know full well how much I am concerned about what others think about me...

I'm aware that I don't rub everyone the right way, which isn't specifically the intention, but more so the by product of a certain demographic (I am referring only to a group who thinks alike, nothing about any physical characteristics) not understanding my posts and the circumstances that surround them. Doesn't bother me, and you are free to think what you like.

Now, if you could please quote any one (or more) of my specific posts that indicate that I am unhappy in life, in general? That would be great.

I can assure you I live an exceptional life in almost every measurable way, but if you can quote one or more of my specific posts that show otherwise I would like to see them.

Am I the only one who finds BlueDriver entertaining? Nothing wrong with a little levity here, even if he is a bit cynical. I certainly don’t come on APC and take anyone too serious...or career advice for that matter. We all have varying opinions on the contract, direction of the company, day to day ops etc.. I see this everyday with the people I fly with, but I can honestly say the pilot group as a whole is one of the highlights of this company. Just an observation. I just hope we can all come together and make significant gains on the next contract (and get PS back). At the end of the day, I hope we’re all on the same page with that.

I have always appreciated BlueDriver and some others opinions even if I didn’t agree with them. He/she generally makes valid points and this job can wear on the most positive of us. I have no doubt He/she is just venting a little in their writing..

I think it takes all kinds. If everyone was super happy about this place on APC it wouldn’t accurately reflect the true culture here. I fly with about the same variety of people on the line as there are represented on here. Some hard line anti-company people who are happy in life but unhappy with the degradations of many things here over the years, as well as the stupid things like changing policies by “accidentally sending an email” but then keeping the policies. Then there are the few and far between juicers who are anti-union, pro company, and think the company can do no wrong. Then there is the majority who fall somewhere in between. The last few years have seen a lot more move from the juicer crowd to the juiceless crowd, PS being one big reason. Case in point: juicy joe earning the name juiceless joe.

Bluedriver is a good guy, and his point of view is just as valid as High Flight's. The beauty and simultaneous frustration of this career is that we all have vastly different points of view formed from a variety of life experiences.

I know that even looking at myself when I was a Baby Blue compared to today my views of JB have changed drastically. It can be frustrating to see others have views that I once shared but cannot continue to believe in. Insert zen Confucius quote about not changing others and only changing ourselves BS.

Instead of debating who's point of view is correct (they both are) we should be focused on bringing the group together to make Jetblue even better than it is today.

While you stayed home and enjoyed all those holidays with YOUR family, I spent most away from mine, and not by choice. Not for three to give days at a time, but for weeks and years. So yeah, I see much of what you say as whining like a spoiled child who actually has had life pretty freaking good for the past many years. You say you never missed a holiday, and yet you whine like a little girl about how badly your life here sucks. Pitiful.

You’re right, we do not connect and probably never will because we came from different places, and lived completely different lives. I appreciate what I have today, and think that my time now at JB is pretty effing awesome, because I am NOT forced to spend time away from my family. My wife flies with me on the majority of my trips, which thankfully aren’t really all that frequent. My ankle biters are grown, gone, and successful in their own lives, in spite of the fact that we didn’t get to share all their Christmases, birthdays, and other holidays together. They are very well-adjusted, respectful members of society who are making their own way in the world. In spite of my former career choices? Because of? I honestly do not know. But I am proud of the adults they have become.

And yes, I am happy with my life at JB. You SAY your months are fantastic and you are thankful for it; if that is true, then stop whining like a little baby and man up and be honest. You come across to me (and several who have taken the time to PM me about our discourses) as a spoiled brat. If that is inaccurate, then I apologize. But it sure seems that way. Try spending weeks at a time away from your loved ones, or a year, and suddenly the two or three times a year your schedule actually sucks melts away into nothingness.

JB is far from perfect, but it is also far from a sh!tty job. If it were, I would not recommend my good friends to come here and be miserable like you appear to be. Or maybe you’re not, as you stated above. I really don’t know, but I will always call you out when your whining exceeds my belief of what is just and fair. So ignore my posts if you want, or put me on ignore, I really don’t care. I am happy working here, and some SJW on an anonymous forum will never change that.

Now, if you want to work together on CBA2 to make ALL our lives better, I am with you. If you plan to continue on APC like you have for the past 5 years that I have read your posts, then expect the pushback from me to continue.
Since you psychoanalyzed BD, here's my read on what you just wrote: Milspec with very little if any 121 experience prior to JB, who doesn't understand the difference between poor working conditions at an airline and poor QOL while volunteering in the military. You're right, it's different. It's supposed to be. This job is also supposed to be better than it currently is.

Thank you for your service.
