fake news bro. 1-4100 number in both seats. Not sure why you think he's making it up based on what he said. |

Yikes... who would want to be rsv plug at 1500 seniority without knowing anything regarding trip quality, or even just remotely close to the bottom. Kiss any good vacation weeks or holidays goodbye for a long time. But then again, to each his own and every situation is different for every pilot... whatever floats your boat!

Worse case you cut your losses and return to your previous position. Two years in the airline world goes quickly. It really only took a small number of senior guys to bid it and make it senior initially. This wasn’t a 500 pilot bid.
yeah...2 years commuting to short call reserve after 6 weeks of training at the lodge...no big deal lol. |

Not sure why you think he's making it up based on what he said. soooo what is it. 900? 1500? 1600? 4000? Or is it safe to assume that like 12 people actually know and none of them are most likely at liberty to say? |

I don't consider "barely into the thousand" much different than 1,500-1,600. I definitely don't think he made it up or pulled it out of his Lift Award... |

That was his interpretation/characterization of what his source told him. That doesn't mean he made it up, and maybe his source was intentionally vague. Not sure why you have to so abrasive with everyone, all the time. |
It’s what I heard from a guy who is relatively credible. Could be 1001, it could be 3 guys over 1,000 with the bottom being 1500, it could even be 50 guys all junior to 1,000. He didn’t specify. The takeaway is it supposedly went senior AF, and I frankly dgaf if you don’t like my possible inaccuracy or lack of specificity. Obviously the people who allegedly know and shared the info aren’t at liberty to do so, and so I’m guessing I got vague info for a reason. And it could be wrong. I’m simply passing on what I heard, and I specifically caveated my claim with “I heard” iirc. So, listen to it, argue it, tell me 220 CA went somewhere between 1-4100...I don’t care. I also don’t care about the FO 220 bid and didn’t bother asking.

Why would anyone be surprised it went senior. I’m sure the FO side went relatively senior too.

Why would anyone with good seniority choose to be the PLUG, just to be on a new airplane? The plug is almost universally a position pilots don't want to be. Why would you want to be the PLUG on the A220 instead of 20-30% off the bottom, or better, on the A320 Roy? |

I have no idea, but I’ve heard a myriad of reasons for senior people bidding it...that I’ve spoken to anyway. Gave me the impression it was going senior on both seats. Why anyone would bid into the blind is beyond me. It’s a new toy that pays well, so who knows 🤷🏻♂️

I’m just thinking... SCR.... gonna pass on that. Guess it’s different if you live “local.”

I haven't heard anything about the bid results but I can answer your question. Some guys just need to be in the first class. Do you know how to find out if you are flying with someone who was in the first or second 190 class? They'll tell you. They see it as a badge of honor. I'm not sure why. Maybe it makes them feel like they were test pilots.

Wait, you guys talk to RJ pilots? I thought we got rid of all those by now.

Just tell them it doesn’t count. Fleet manager, CKA, etc got to go first. Just tell them they are no different than Columbus “discovering” America.

Bid should be out any day now...

Not to be a downer but.... If there is no back fill your relative seniority actually drops [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If there is no back fill your relative seniority actually drops [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you are say 200/250 (so 80% in base), and 50 people above you go to the 220 with no backfill, you’ll then be 150/200, or 75%, which seems like better seniority to me. I think it hurts if you’re say 25/250 (10%), and 50 people below you leave, and you become 25/200 (12.5%). |

You have to multiply by the ALV, then divide by the Bid Divisor, raise to the power of your pto accrual, then use Pi somewhere. 😂 |

I was told my seniority would hold the 0800 BOS-MSY day turn. Home for dinner. And since the 220 is bigger then the 190 the Co was adding :05 to the turn time, so after I help clean there would be more time to get some Jambalaya. QOL #1

Did they dump a bunch of bus flying on 190 BOS? Last month first day open time window...zero trips. Today, quite a few 3 days and a couple 2 and 4s mixed in.
