I haven't heard a thing, don't know anybody. But just a guess it goes somewhat junior..I can't see any 320 FOs taking a pay cut or someone not living around BOS commuting for it. 3200's???

Quit peddling your BS on public forums, ETOPS certification is nowhere near complete.

I just flew with a guy who says he saw the bid mid 1700’s most junior C and 4000 junior FO. Captains came from both BUS and 190 Capt from BOS/JFK and FLL.

Thanks for the intel. #4000 would be surprising to me.

After reading the CP note it actual sounds spot on. But that’s just me connecting dotes..

What if someone can hold the London flying prior to starting 220 training? It is my understanding that the equipment freeze does not begin until training on the new type starts. Thus, if training on the 220 has not started, a pilot should still be able to get awarded the London 320 flying. Only question is, what if the London 320 training date is after the 220 training date? Anyone have any knowledge on this?

I believe that is correct. Your 220 training would just not happen as your most recent award/training date supersedes previous awards/training dates, which, I think would create a backfill for that 220 vacancy. But, that’s just my understanding, which isn’t always accurate.

Same here. It seems class is starting for the first wave of Europe ops, so I would assume ETOPS has been completed.

Just the pubs. It’s a good thing no pilot has ever entered a pub.

There are various phases of things to be completed with ETOPS cert, some of which require the actual airplane. I’m curious which phase was just completed. Obviously until we have an LR (or any other plane that will be ETOPS, which so far is none according to management, recently), we can’t do proving runs, or maintenance tracking or procedures (I was told the FAA told us we can’t use our non-etops regular NEOs for any of that), etc. So, I have no doubt we completed something with regards to etops 180, but I do doubt we could start service to hawaii tomorrow. Guessing there will be an update in that town hall on Thursday. Or perhaps captcoolhand knows the details.

right. Waiting for the LR to show up. They good up to the point of proving runs. I guess it’s not “complete” until you’re doing ETOPS but it’s done.

I would have never guessed 1700 plug. I thought it would be more 2200ish range.

Ted Striker 01-11-2021 06:59 AM

Anyone hear what size bid the LR flying is opening up at?

Maybe between 1-4100 and maybe between 1/11/2021 and 12/29/2025.

Going to go really junior. Like someone said. Pubs closed over there.

So when we hire again in 2023-24? The Covidiocy is still prevalent and lockdowns will continue for another 12-18 months.
Get ready for flash mask mandates, arbitrary shutdowns, and whatever big Gov says. The sheeple have bent over and Governments now know the secret sauce. Gov + Big Tech = total control. Enjoy.
Oh yea- bye bye small business.

Yikes ... an LR bid that could be 4100 pilots? Seems a big large. I was asking the size ... not where it would fall in seniority. Also, CP email said its opening up within next few weeks, hence why I didnt ask when it would open up. Read much?

Farm saying 58 FO spots and 36 or so CA. From the Sys chief, take it for what it's worth.

Ted Striker 01-11-2021 07:44 AM

60ish.... not bad to start. Anything to keep some movement going.

So, any idea of what the mix of 190 vs Airbus pilots were awarded the 220? Primarily 190 pilots?

How soon do 220 classes begin and how often are they held?
