I don’t know they voted 83% for.(10-2) Not exactly close to the end result. Even with their sell job it still failed.
Don’t worry if they are allowed to stay in office they still fully intend to sell our scope.

From the MEC letter:
“We will also convene the MEC to discuss procedures for gathering feedback and guidance from our membership, including gathering polling data, on your concerns about the LOA and how to address them..”
No, they should have “convened” prior to today. Those surveys should be written and ready to distribute. They had time to write multiple panicked pleas for votes, when they should have been working on Plan B.
You don’t wait until you’ve gone missed to start looking for a suitable alternate.

I mean, regardless of your feelings, you have to agree that the vote was CLOSE. Just because 54% of the voters were no voters, isn’t cause for an MEC recall.

Take a look at how the messaging morphed over the last three weeks. It started out as "we are neutral" and ended up as a full court press begging us to agree with them. My confidence isn't swayed by the vote tally, only by how well I think I'm being represented and presented with factual information. And my confidence has been shaken badly by the tone deaf messaging and the obvious attempts to put their thumb on the scale instead of presenting facts neutrally, pro and con, and allowing the pilots to reach an informed decision on the merits.

and we will end up with nothing. The company will do what the want and we will be able to say we said “no” and that’s all we will have. Oh but wait the arbitrators will make lots of money from this.. Fun times and lots of LCR in our future.. awesome!!
