A few weeks ago this would have made me spit coffee on my monitor laughing, but then I flew into JFK for the first time....

Untrue. No 2015 hires have been awarded MCO Captain in any aircraft. He can't be a base trade either, since those aren't processed 6 months in advance.

A year from now, assuming everything goes according to the training dates in PVBM, the bottom MCO 320 CA will be J.F., hired December 2013 and beginning upgrade training December 2024. So one year from now the Junior MCO 320 CA will be over 11 years, aka "a twelve year guy".

As of today, who's the bottom CA in Orlando? I know it's not a 6-8 year guy, as someone posted.

Edit: By my math the Junior MCO CA (non-management) on the January 2024 monthly bid award is M.P., hired November 2011. So upgrade in MCO - as of right now - is still 12-13 years, and not getting any better for the rest of the year.

Another solid reason on top of many to avoid Orlando

Ok, I redact my previous statement. MCO CA is still at infinity.

Actually very true.....

RL, A May 2015 hire is the plug now, and will be at the end of the year as well, according to PVBM. He may have been a base transfer in fall of last year, but could also have been awarded, I dont care to dig and find out though. But for a more accurate representation of who can hold MCO CA in a bid, the next guy is a 1/2014 hire. So call it 9.5 years to hold. Its coming down slowly.

Same as everywhere else. It sucks. Go to UA or WN. Only chance is if the keep NKs IAH base around if the merger passes.

Dunno why anyone in IAH would even consider staying at NK or B6. Insanity.

I'd like to, but WN and NK aren't hiring at the moment. I'm looking at a forced upgrade at my current airline and I'd like to bail before it happens.
