Working at JB

JB is great, but it is an east coast (NE and Florida really) airline. Maybe we grow some of the Midwest bases after the NK merger, but that could go either way.

Even someone with a Midwest base would be better like AA with DFW/ORD, F9 DEN maybe. If you’re going to commute forever to JFK why not DL?

I think that's probably the strategy....don't you?
Only in 2023 would someone characteristize going from a regional to JetBlue as "jumping ship".......don't worry man for your UAL interview they won't ask you about your "lateral" move to B6.

Actually very true.....
RL, A May 2015 hire is the plug now, and will be at the end of the year as well, according to PVBM. He may have been a base transfer in fall of last year, but could also have been awarded, I dont care to dig and find out though. But for a more accurate representation of who can hold MCO CA in a bid, the next guy is a 1/2014 hire. So call it 9.5 years to hold. Its coming down slowly.

If AA or DL want to hire me before I get forced into an upgrade I'd happily go there but with metering I don't think I'm going from regional FO to a legacy without leaving for a LCC/ULCC first. Commuting to a LCC is just a means to an end for me, I'm not going to be a commuting lifer. I was just wondering how commuting is in the short term, JB's commuter policy doesn't seem bad on paper.

Forced into an upgrade? Is that a thing? Why wouldn’t you want to upgrade? Become a Captain at your regional. Get some 121 PIC experience. All your future legacy/major Captains will appreciate it. Separate yourself from all the 20 something year old legacy FO’s that really don’t know what they’re doing.
