The current JetBlue letter to the Spirit stockholders makes allegations of a failure of due diligence on the part of the Spirit BOD. If that letter is FALSE in any materiel way, B6 is in trouble with the SEC.

But false or true, it practically guarantees a class action lawsuit on behalf of SAVE stockholders who want the immediate payout.

I am absolutely not a sidestick MBA. But I do think just the fact that JB says this publicly means there's a chance NKs board is trying to push the boundaries.

IF it’s a gain it could be a significant taxable event.

Having equity in a new entity could be seen as a better play than potentially a profit/ tax bill. Like i said, the good news is the BOD has spoke . Irrelevant now. It’s up to the individual shareholder at this point.

And the unicorn domination thing is your words not mine. I Believe in the ULCC model . Some do some don’t. My personal belief as employee and Stockholder the long term viability is a marriage with F9. I voted accordingly. I love the JetBlue product and all my buddies over there … Jumpseat often on you guys. My want to go with F9 is not a slight of B6. I just few the match works better. We’ll see in June.
Who in their right mind would want to work for a company hitched to Indigo? In the egomaniac a@shat employer olympics they take the silver between Lorenzo and Icahn.

I wonder if there is a way to see how many shareholders are into spirit for under $30 dollars. Probably a good amount I assume, but probably a lot into for over $30 if they owned prior to the pandemic including the large institutional ones. We will find out soon enough though. Most the posts on here seem to think everyone bought at the bottom. Definitely will not be the case.

I’d guess it’s over, but sure has been a wild ride so far. Franke is gonna have to up the bid for sure if he wants it.

If your basis is above $33, you're investing wrong.

The ULCC model is nothing special. Read over the Q1 reports of all the airlines and you will see that we all lost money. The catch here is the high cost/high fare airlines like Delta and United are forecasting profitability in Q2 (actual EPS, not adjusted EBITDA bull****). Hell, United just raised their guidance and expects Q2 revenues to exceed Q2 2019 numbers. NK, F9, and for that matter B6 are nowhere near that number. The ULCC model is just a different method of getting from point A to point B. It is not special, recession proof or resistant.

Da Fuq? No pilots are buying any other pilots. We’re all along for the ride.

PSA. No matter what your opinion is, unless you own enough NK stock to swing the vote (spoiler: you don’t) your only voice that matters is our joint one in supporting ALPA for a great JCBA. We are all on the same side. I didn’t apply at JB or F9, for my reasons. That is in the past, whatever happens, it is us versus them, not you against me.
