Thread title should be "JetBlue does normal go around in EWR on Friday, Apr 23".

I heard Mike Tyson broke into the cockpit, beat the FO to within an inch of his life, then single handedly performed an extreme go around.

That is according to the B6 pilots wives Facebook page.

I heard Mike Tyson pulled out on the runway prompting the aggressive (but appropriate) go around.

From ATC Live: “JB123 going around, Mike Tyson on the runway”.

Let's at least add one fact to this story...
Does the Airbus do a soft go-around?

Ordinarily no.

However, if Mike Tyson wants a soft go around, Mike Tyson gets a soft go around.

The Samuel Jackson version would have rated 2 points.

3 points if it was the "monkey-fightin' " edited for TV version.

The maneuver was so abrupt that numerous passengers began a puke chain through the cabin.

Anyone have the details on what aircraft was on the ground? Was it taking off?? Was it crossing the active???

Kudos to the B6 crew for avoiding a catastrophe.
All lies. I was commuting on F1912 and in the cabin. We did a normal go around at about 1000' after shooting an approach to 11, and instead shot the approach to 4R. No one "rotated more than ever before." No one did a pushover. No one threw up. No one did a 4G inverted dive through the clouds with a MIG-28. There was no potential catastrophe. In fact, I hadn't even realized we had gone around until I looked out the window.

I wish there was a barrier to entry for the wannabes on this site, like this alleged "737 pilot" who started this thread...
