The maneuver was so abrupt that numerous passengers began a puke chain through the cabin.

Anyone have the details on what aircraft was on the ground? Was it taking off?? Was it crossing the active???

Kudos to the B6 crew for avoiding a catastrophe.
Something about this entire post screams "not an airline pilot".

He says "Flight had to reject a landing"...pilots say "plane went around"
He says "Ft Meyers to Newark"...pilots say "RSW to EWR"
He says "very close to the runway"...pilots say "mins" "minimums" "touchdown" "landing"

Just the fact he is making a big deal over a basic go around. As everyone has said, a go around to TOGA FD bars and a quick level off will not feel normal to a passenger or a fake 737 forum pilot

My guess is this was BWI pilot, an amateur weekend warrior, who wants to ask for a "friend" or a FA who is finishing up their commercial while working at SWA as a FA

With strong north winds EWR lately has been trying to push more traffic by doing converging 29/4L operations. They aren’t very good at it yet. I’ve seen quite a few go arounds in those conditions lately.

That is a broad question. A 320? No. A 320/321 NEO? Yes.

I hate to trash some of the fun, but food for thought.

IF this particular aircraft did this (greater than 25° pitch up is required for AP disengagement), try and relate that to the forward pressure to correct that error. Easy to see why everyone got sick in a hurry.

Hate deadheading in the back......Crew yesterday blew the visual 18R MCO (likely ATC gave the ORL crossing at 2500 instead of the FAF at 2200). Gear wasn't down till way after the VOR and that bus must have looked like a CRJ doing it's lawn dart approach from the outside. They went around and the whole fkn plane looks at me and I get an interrogation like I was Trump in a pressroom full of CNN reporters when I stood up in the aisle at the gate to get my bag.

LOL! I tell new FOs this all of the time. Some get it, many don't.
