All of the above. Throw in circadian rhythm flips.

And almost every pairing starts very early and ends very late. Soft time virtually gone. More average legs per day.

Ok he “retired” and then went to United. If that makes you feel better than he quit and went to United.
I’ve flown with a bunch of FOs that retired after 2-4 years from JB and came to United.

That’s not retiring from jetblue, as they don’t have years of service plus age = 65. That’s just leaving. Hell most FOs aren’t even vested in their 401k when they leave B6. This guy actually retired.

Only technically. The only thing he gets by retiring is his flight benefits... He left for United, as you know.

Yeah, just clarifying the difference between leaving at 1 year vs 17+…with the latter you get a retiree card, some useless nonrev bennies, and maybe a handshake if you’re a former chief pilot or something (but definitely no retirement pizza party if your UAL PRIA request hit around the same time as your retirement letter).

a lot of people just can’t grasp the difference between retiring and quitting.

400 a month hiring at UAL? Yeah, that is not going to happen. Every class at every airline/cargo is consistently having no-shows, and to my knowledge (I could be wrong), UA does not have that type of capacity for new hires.

If people would start calling out fatigued instead of flying tired this stuff would stop real quick.
