Many people here seem to think that because NK walked once upon a time they will save us, but they forget that it wasnt an industry leading CBA that ended the strike, but a bottom tier one. No company wants to pay their pilots more, not DAL, UAL Fedex etc... They do it because their respectuve pilot groups wont accept less. Period.

If this AIP was presented to the UAL group, MEC heads would roll. THAT is why they make more.

heads would roll bc they’re on contract 6,000::we r on contract 1. Everyone is comparing us to the legacy carriers and that’s stupid. This is a good deal with provisions for increases as the market demands. JB is a low budget carrier. Ps from a company that barely makes a profit vis actual $$ is a pipe dream. Hope to see you in United white soon.

Oh we are a "discount budget airline" that is often the highest priced ticket between city pairs, with the most legroom, TVs, free wifi. Things that make the big 3 look like slumlords. Do tell...

Heads wont roll here because B6 HR has gotten very scientific with hiring low self worth pilots like yourself.

If I were younger with less seniority I would be at UAL/DAL yesterday and I tell every new hire I meet the same thing. Do not get comfy here, our union and pilots will always view themselves as "lesser" and a career here is literally giving away millions of dollars in potential earnings.

Number of previous contracts is irrelevant to what’s in a contract and what is able to be negotiated.

Uh they did pay out a pretty good PS check right after that it was taken away. So it’s not a pipe dream and if the merger goes we will be the 5th largest airline. Is it still a dream?

Smh. Why do you look at the “now” when it comes to profit? Did you know that B6 pilots use to get significant PS dollars(legacy amounts too) before company went and change the formula? JB was a low budget carrier then too. I would see your point of getting actual $$ if our rate was 10% more than everyone. There you can make the argument that you’d rather see it in hard pay. But here is the rub, we are not even getting rate to keep up much more industry leading. That is where your argument falls apart.

Look at this current TA. We snap up to average with no PS, meanwhile others will be slightly(if not significantly) ahead of us plus still gets PS. So what is your point? Because what you are saying falls apart.

Anyone have a bullet point sheet from ALPA for those on the outside looking in?

WTF did I just read? Low budget carrier? Full mint studios on Trans-Atlantic flights with tons of legroom in coach and free tv/wifi? If we're a low budget carrier, than what the heck is Spirit and Frontier?

That's it, I'm not working for another low budget carrier! Apps going out!

I hope you and everyone else hired at JB in the last 6 years realize we are not fighting to gain Profit Sharing….We are fighting to RESTORE IT. We had it and it was taken away pre-CBA. We are not a low budget carrier, we are essentially and historically in the flavor of SW and AK which indeed have PS. This is usually beaten into new hires multiple times during indoc. Therefore even if our payrates end up identical to those 2 carriers, without PS our total compensation package ends up less, are you really willing to accept that? And that’s even before comparing ourselves to a legacy. Please don’t sell yourself nor your fellow pilots short.

You can have all the pay and benefits that Delta has IF you shake off the inferiority complex and dig in.
