Valid reasons to settle would be, IMO (in no order)
- merger gets completed faster, saving money - DOT agrees to the certificate transfer - garner favor with the government and the public by giving them a token victory that isn’t really a victory at all, but something they can sell as a win - ensuring a victory. Even with a favorable judge, you never know in exchange for the merger going through Pete Buttigieg will get more inclusive items in aviation. such as; - Replace Kollsman window Kolls-person window (gender neutral) -instead of saying fly “south” We will now have to say fly “the direction opposite of north” (offensive Civil War Termanology) -Replace the two white boys on the airman certificate with two immigrant POC aviators. (colonialism) I think at the very least this would help ensure aviation is even more safe than it is today! (I can honestly say when approach tells me to descend via…landing south I do get a little triggered, I think this would make me be a little more relaxed and have a safer work environment) |
I think we should stop calling it an apu, that term offends me since the simpsons got rid of Apu.

The terminology is War of the Rebellion. If you must, War of Northern Agression. |

What a sad person you are.
Did you hear the FAA just admitted they will be severely understaffed (again) in ATC in the Northeast so they are mandating we cut 10% off our NY summer schedule due to government lack of planning and even at that expect delays to be similar if not worse than last summer? This is what bring the ire of some on here. I’m sure when fares skyrocket because of the capacity pulldown this summer the administration will blame the airlines again, none of it could be a consequence of their incompetence. Perhaps we should be taking them to court for stifling competition instead of the other way around! |

In all honesty if the DOT/FAA wants to pursue these little projects (be it justified or not) they need to have their house in order on their core functions. They would be given a bit more slack to do whatever they want if that was the case. It’s called priorities and they have shown that no, they can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.
