I have a theoretical question…what would happen if all the MCO 320 FO vacancies were filled from the reductions in BOS/JFK, but zero of the MCO 320 CA vacancies were filled from BOS/JFK reductions?

This isn't true. New hires can and will start going into the new unfilled vacancies immediately. If there are unfilled vacancies in FLL or MCO, they will be filled with new hires. The email that JW sent around seemed to indicate that there are unfilled vacancies there, so I would expect to see some new hires getting them in the coming classes if that is true.

Newhires would be shoveled into BOS/JFK to fill the balance and there would be huge over staffing scenario. Probably a displacement in the future to balance it out, despite what flight ops said.

Also imagine hundred of BOS/JFK CAs went to Florida but none of the FOs did. They would certainly have to run a displacement with that scenario.

It’s going to be interesting to see the details of the bid

Hey guys New Hire for 17-23 class on wednesday just got the email for bid and all were boston on all 3 types. Obviously wont here anything till wednesday I guess. If this makes a difference. I am out of florida so no luck with being down here.

MCO is 40 miles from the ocean. But with the elevation change it feels more like 43 miles.
