Let’s snapshot this one for after the JB transition training 😂

Only been typed in two airliners but I don’t recall anyone with a good attitude failing in either of my classes. Was it harder for some than others? Yeah. But barring alcohol or serious social/emotional problems (divorce or serious illness in a family member) everyone made it through. Can’t say nobody had to repeat a few things along the way, I don’t know about everybody in those classes, but people who worked hard with a good attitude and didn’t have some serious outside stressor all came out at the end with a type rating. And while it’s easier with the second one, that’s mostly just cause you cease to have doubts that you can do it.

But yeah, if you are choosing between JB and NK, first class date probably wins just on seniority. Although not getting stuck for a year commuting to a base that may be difficult for you may be an issue. Not sure how easy it would be to get LAX in training at JB and with only annual base bids that may stick you on an ugly commute for a year. On the NK side, LAS is pretty easy and a short and frequent commute from SLC.

Need to do something about those annual JB base bids in the JCBA. Monthly is nice, but it ought to be AT LEAST quarterly.

Thanks everyone for the detailed comments. I appreciate it very much. There are some great comments but there's always at least one person who wants to be confrontational. What a clown.

What's comical about what I said? It's all truth.

Sorry didn’t mean to imply your experience was comical, but when comparing a non-AQP to AQP it is very different. I do think after you go through the JB AQP you’ll be happily surprised at the differences. It is truly a training and learning experience vs strictly a checking environment.

I've gone through both AQP and non-AQP and I know the "differences". So don't act like I don't understand what I'm talking about. I saw more failures at OO under their AQP training than at NKs non-AQP.

Meh not really. OOs training department was/is a well oiled machine that has trained 3-4 times the number of pilots that NK/B6 combined has over the last few years.

My point is the difference is hardly noticeable between the two (aqp/non-aqp) and that non-aqp has 1 checkride where aqp has 2. Again, those are just facts. Sorry if you don't like them.

Oye…

Sorry I brought anything up. NK training is great. JB training is great. Please strike my previous comments from the record.

When did I say NK training was great? It’s not. I’ve already stated that. Your reading comprehension abilities need some improvement.
