He’s not wrong. People do want a miracle, which would be turning this thing around in the quarter following a major leadership change. They haven’t even stopped flying the cancelled LAX and SA routes. Maybe let their changes have a chance to make a difference?

Both United and Delta both cited weakness in Latam flying.

I didn't see anything about the "nowhere near" part. We'll have to see how the summer plays out, but they never projected a profit this year. Look at the hole they have to dig out of. Robin put this airline in a bad spot. I have no idea how this plays out, but it's not all doom and gloom because of the 1st quarter earnings call. Now if they're still not seeing a path to profitability by the 4th quarter of this year, we're fuqed.

I wasn’t saying he was right or wrong. Just pointing out that hope isn’t a strategy. A lot of people here are just hoping things work out. Good luck!

Where did I say anything about hope being a strategy? I said this earnings call wasn't anything surprising. Give another 6 months and we'll have a better idea. You can't turn this mess around in 2 months. Joanna seems to be making moves. Time will tell, but what the fuq else you want us to do besides hope or leave lol? We move airplanes. They run the company.

In Ursula's email today plus on today's earnings call. I suspected it though because in the last company-wide pocket session, someone asked when in May is investor Day and Ursula replied "well investor day was planned for May 30th" then she stopped there. No elaboration on why it's a "WAS" or when is the new date.

I guess she saved that part for today. We are JB, of course it's delayed.

Yeah, exactly my thought. I'm selling immediately and put that money somewhere else.

Well they didn't announce furloughs... tomorrow is another day.

Based off of the stock markets reaction to earnings, yes it was surprising or it would’ve been baked in to the share price. Unless you know more than every Wall Street analyst.
