Guys. This is them recinding the jacket policy. No one's gonna be out there with a thermometer checking for coats. The new policy could be read as "Don't be a moron and fly to NYC when it's 55 and do your walk around shivering." This is a good thing. Take the win.

you can be a moron and wear your jacket when it's 55. that's my whole point. i don't like wearing the jacket inside the airport pretty much ever. this new policy (which of course doesn't apply to walkarounds, unless you're a moron) says we have to wear the jacket inside the airport when the high of the day is going to be below 65. all year round. this is way worse than what we had before for someone like me who gets too warm with the jacket on pretty much all the time.

That's a Bingo. This new policy is absolutely ridiculous. Now we have to theoretically do homework before packing for a trip, and hope the weather app we use doesn't have a different high than the app they use, or that the WX doesn't change after we leave home for a 3-5 day trip.

When I read the policy, I had to check the date I thought for sure it was April 1st again.

You mean the soft shell jacket with the epaulets and name tag? Every time we take a step forward, we take two steps backwards.

Please God tell me this is a joke and we won’t have epaulets on the exterior of a jacket.

I mean, don't you usually check the weather before leaving on a multi day trip? I guess I'm just extra.

Generally not very closely. This policy would require granular checking for each destination, not just each layover. And could well require me to lug a jacket I don't want to bring because ONE city in four days drops below 65 degrees. Even during the late spring, summer, and early fall when I would not have previously had to lug a jacket at all.

There is no defense for this, it's ridiculous.

You just stick a Delta patch on when you go to the bar on a layover.
