"Hi, welcome aboard Jetblue! We have the same product as AA, but we are late all the time and don't fly anywhere. Would you like our credit card?"
There is no way we are taking market share from anyone with this plan. Our loyal flyers are going to bail after a few years of suffering this new product, and our only hope is a merger.
This is the end of the brand.

AA uses viasat 2…same as jetblue. And it works better, if you’re willing to pay for it. And JetBlue’s snacks suck. And AA has coke. And they have BYOD IFE, which jetblue doesn’t…so if I want to watch a movie on my iPad and use my AirPods, I can on AA, but not on jetblue (while I surf wifi that doesn’t throttle near as bad as jetblue). Next?

But good thing we've got IFE, wifi, and pop chips... that's really working for us.

Meanwhile, AA pilots' biggest complaint of any consequence in their forum is that their profits are not as high as they had hoped... and over here we're not only in the red, but in the red year after year and shutting down all but the bare minimum west coast ops and doubling down on the NE. The same NE with WX and ATC problems we attribute to our ongoing operational heartburn.

We have Viasat-2 also. It works better on AA because it isnt free and a fraction of the people use it. JetBlue also has BYOD IFE and the free inseat live tv and movies. So basically your complaints are no Bluetooth on the seatback, and that you like Coke over Pepsi.

The reason AA can make any kind of money at all with their terrible product is they are a monopoly in many US markets and people have literally zero choice but to fly them. They have network size and alliances we simply do not have. We need to offer something significantly BETTER than the big 3 in order to motivate people to fly on us. If you live in NY, and need to fly somewhere, why would you ever choose Jetblue over Delta? Right now, we offer a more comfortable experience than they do for most travelers. If that changes watch our revenue slowly dwindle as word gets out that we are among the least comfortable airlines, as well as late, and with no route map.
Watch.
