Since the start of 2024, JetBlue has announced or completed exits from roughly 15 cities/stations, depending on whether you count seasonal suspensions and later resumptions.

The most commonly cited confirmed station exits since 2024 are:
  • Baltimore (BWI)
  • Burlington (BTV)
  • Kansas City (MCI)
  • Bogotá (BOG)
  • Lima (LIM)
  • Quito (UIO)
  • Charlotte (CLT)
  • Minneapolis (MSP)
  • San Antonio (SAT)
  • Burbank (BUR)
  • Tallahassee (TLH)
  • Palm Springs (PSP)
  • Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP)
  • Stewart/Newburgh (SWF)
  • Puerto Vallarta (PVR) — in some reports listed as seasonal/suspended rather than fully abandoned

Check the scroll back, I don’t think asset sales will trigger the 25% provision in section 1 forcing pilots to go with JFK gates/slots for instance. Benz just relayed that the union apparently thinks this would trigger the clause. Neither of us are saying gates/slots = ASMs. Contact ALPA since they are the ones making that assurance.

I talk with several people associated with the union and none of them think it trigger anything. So sounds like a he said she said but that makes no sense if you step back and look at it objectively.

it’s funny cause AS does PVR/PSP to JFK yet we couldn’t even make it work…. That should tell you how well we market and run this airline

Give me a few days to do my research, but this drew a lot of skepticism from the industry considering how weak Alaska is out east. However it had something to do with slot usage and aircraft routings to the east.

Basically it was a route of convenience, not of financial sense.

I’ll work on getting you the sources of this data. Standby.

ah I think I know what you’re getting at… it’s getting planes off the gate or into JFK to leave early the next morning
instead of an extra hub flight to JFK they’ll take one from PVR/PSP
