Do you mind helping the F/A clean the airplanes when doing turns?
No sir I would be glad to. I will even bring my own broom.

How do you feel about changing the minimum rest rules so we can do Trans-Con turns?
Great idea, this should have been done a long time ago, glad to see how innovative this company is.

Would you be willing to sign a 5-year contract with no guarantee of renewal?
Oh yes I would.

Do you like Kool-Aid?
Love it!

Your hired, but we will give you a free broom and a nice leather jacket and then end of your contract. Not as warm and fuzzy as a pension, but it's top of the line Wal-Mart!
Thanks you sir's it has been my life long dream to work at a Low Cost Carrier. I can't imagine why anybody would want anything different.

Kill Bill is 100% right! Why aren't we standing up more for higher then FA wages? It has already been proven that people who should have been fired at JB haven't. What would standing up for the same pay rates as SWA do? We alwalys boast that no one has not gotten there 5 year contract renewed yet mentioning a union is taboo. As the legacy carriers start/continue to recall, JB will start to lose more and more experienced pilots. Management will have to do something to keep us from becoming a training center for other majors, so why don't we tell them what it will take. Flying an A320, for a major LCC, and providing a better service deserves at least the same pay rates and benefits as our competition. We should not expect FedEX or UPS pay but at least match what pilots for similiar airlines are getting. And if we don't get at least SWA pay then why not unionize. No where does it say that a union has to be butting heads with management. To me a union/union rep would keep the airline small. No way Barger/Bushy/Neeleman will remember the names of todays new hires as they were able to do 3 years ago, but having one point of contact would get every heard. Kill Bill is right in alot what he says. Too bad he directs most of his hate of JetBlue towards its pilots instead of the airline. I am sure he hates to see us get shafted but I would love to see Kill Bill and others lead JB pilots in the right direction to get a union started. It wouldn't take much for ALPA to send an invite for a pilot get-together in NYC. Just my 2 cents and realaity check!

You feel pretty strong about your views regarding pay. You should spear head the project, get a committee together and invite ALPO for coffee and cake to discuss your issues in greater detail. Your next PC with a management check airman should prove very interesting. What's the difference between an UPS or FED Ex pilot and JB pilot? Hell, you all fly airplanes, and responsible for life and limb, cargo for FED Ex and UPS of course. Why shouldn’t you have the same pay and benefits as them? In fact, why not have parity in pay for all pilots in the airline industry? Problem solved! What a wonderful fantasy.

This is reality. In case you are not aware, there are still a lot of guys on the street instead of the air and the market forbearance does take its toll on the old supply and demand rule. Why pay more when you can get it cheaper?

Some good points. IMO, it'll be a long time before we get any kind of pay/benefit increase under our current system. You oughta hear what's going on in the -190 ranks. Junior LCA holding lucrative lines with people senior to them on reserve with no pay protection (75 hrs only) for the senior people. I understand the logistics but the reservists should be pay protected at the junior folks' line value (more than 75 hours). Values? Oh, that's right, they bid for that position. GMAFB! Let's Keep picking up the RSAs and RSLs and maybe we'll get another shiny new pen!
