jetBlue Hiring

And staffing in the summer will be scary. I cant see them expanding or even maintaining status quo with the upcoming attrition.

Ok,
Latest from the Women in Aviation event info being put out. Everyone waiting on calls from whatever phase of the interview process you are in should be done by April.
Hiring/training will pretty much stop through the summer months as they need all the help they can get flying.
The next hiring window will be open in July and the next Vets in Blue event will be in November.

Any word on March 26th class? Have they called anyone yet for it?

Not done hiring by any means, I interpreted that to mean if you are waiting on a call from a recent interview then you should hear something by April at the latest.
Background checks seem to be the biggest hold up in the process due to waiting for responses from outside sources. (According to JB)

While it's great to be able to earn 110 hours of credit, due respect when I say this, no one want to do that month after month for years. Otherwise, You get burned out angry and it's no fun. The pay scale is a small part of the puzzle. 15-20 days at home with your kids, that's worth it! Not to mention, this isn't normal credit. It's irop credit.

Guys are going to better contracts. AA, DL, UAL, SWA. nearly all of our dal furloughs went back. I would say that the only furloughs who stayed are guys who very senior or are to old to leave now.

p.s. The union getting voted in will just be an excuse for some top execs to leave.
p.p.s Some of them should have left after the early Jan mess.

We recently got an email saying that since 117 requires reserves to have 30 hrs rest before you start a block of reserve days JB now requires 48 and a maximum of 5 reserve days on. You can't manipulate your schedule at all. It used to be 6 days on 1 or so you could spend a lot of time working and then a lot of time at home.
This change was made by email without any pilot input.

Yes, but productivity has suffered. I'll wager that your min sched bid doesn't produce many more days off. Summer will be fun, don't know if the company can keep producing 17 hour 4 days.

As far as the 17 hr 4-days, theyre crap and if B6 wants to staff this airline, I agree that they'll have to give us more productive trips.

Well, the no upgrade rumor was true. Supplemental bid to come out in April.
Something about super duper international captain pilots seniority list? ...seriously I dunno.
Everything else still salty.
