This is the smallest sampling of pilots you can get. This does not represent the majority. There can be good info on here. If you have a positive opinion your are assassinated. Their opinion is just that an opinion just like I have an opinion. They did not poll or ask their percentage. It's a shot in the dark.

Example: ATRDriver has been here not even a year and he has quoted that "80 percent" feel along the lines as he does. Most of that first year has been training and reserve so what really is that "80 percent"? Not much really at all...Like 5 Captains....

Another Example: Bozo has been here for years.....has more perspective. Experience. He has seen things go away like Medical benefits, profit sharing (hopefully taken care of in CBA)and premium pay if you liked to fly your butt off back in the day which I did not.

It is easy to drop a grenade on this forum and be a bad ass. Its harder to be part of the solution and volunteer and help the cause. This forum will do nothing for our wallets or our CBA.....Nor will speculation.

PM's can get some more honest perspective and plenty have great advice to give without thumping their chests and launching grenades.

You should also know that Hyperboy is either suffering from severe cognitive dissonance, or he is a management plant. His saying things keep getting better here has never been backed up with a single example despite all of us asking for just one.

Realize that with pretty much every chief pilot update comes another work rule/payroll change that is a negative for the pilots. They come every month. 1 June starts new post flight walk around duties that weren't required before. It. just. never. stops....

Aren't post flight walkarounds industry standard with our DAL, AA, UAL, WN peers?

We won't be doing very many post flight walkarounds, on the Airbus at least, we fly the crap out of them! I can't remember the last time I saw an in-range message that said "no turn info nxt 6 hrs"

Not required at any station that has our DAL mechanics or if it's going right back out. I typically only do a post-flight after a terminating flight late at night.

Maybe, but does B6 now want industry standard? Great- pay us, improve health care, reserve rules etc. Will you push for that too Surfer?

Which is exactly what we're now expected to do as well. Terminating flights in out stations require post-flight inspections.

Absolutely. I have stated that in nearly every one of my posts that we deserve market rate and it's exactly what I expect. It's also what the NC and MEC have made clear they are working towards, and are making appropriate progress towards achieving. If the MEC determines it's time for the next step in achieving that goal, I will be there supporting it.

In the mean time, I can't make it go any faster. Instead, I make sure I'm informed. I wear my lanyard to support our MEC, NC, and other volunteers. And I do my best to keep facts at the forefront of the discussion.

Facts, whether theyre negtive or in defense of the company, have room here. You seem to jump to the defense of B6 which is fine- just admit there has been some dishonesty from management, just so we know where you stand. Sound fair?

I agree, and I certainly don't expect positive only posts. The issue I take, in general not with any single person here, is when other pilots with more positive views are called "juicers" or written off as "management plants" because they have a different purview.

The company f#cked up healthcare. And they lied to the pilot group about it. They're going to pay for that mistake with our CBA.

That healthcare change however(correct me if I'm wrong here) came pre-ALPA vote. We got a union out of that and all the other Barger era screw ups. Things haven't improved, yet. But I'm confident they will once the CBA is finalized.

Fair enough- I believe we want the same things.
