i assume the upcoming flying to Europe announcement won't make much of a difference in the short term?

I think you're putting the cart before the horse there bud... Let's actually see this fictitious Europe announcement...

Not saying it's not happening, but these guys TALK a lot and DO almost nothing.

But yes, if they do announce Europe, we are at least 18 months from starting that service, so in classic JB fashion, hiring will begin in 24 months...

Unless the problems with the NEO engine continue, then it will be further delayed. Add to that the standard JB delay (they can't do ANYTHING on-time, except cutting profit sharing and work rules) and you can add another 12 months to the 24 months. Plus 6 more months for hiring to begin because JB is always behind on hiring. Crystal clear? Did I miss anything?

They'll push back the Europe announcement like they did with the fleet review. I've heard there's hesitiation industry-wide in terms of whether the LR can do the mission it was built for consistently. That's why you're hearing Jetblue interested in the XLR...which is just a paper design now.

Wouldn't surprise me.

12 lie flats and 30 coach seats against Delta's A330s. Sounds exactly like something we would do...

Brilliant!

Any thoughts as to whether or not classes, even if 5-10 per class, will continue for now until the pool is drained or do you folks think we’ll be swimming for a looooong time?

We have no idea. Honestly no one here does. I expect it’ll be awhile. But I’d expect small classes

Sorry, they tell us almost nothing, and what they do tell us is almost always wrong.
