How so? Their pay scale is better than an RAH FO. Don't forget cape air gets paid by the duty hour, not block. Min 40hr/week guarantee.

I know how cape works. Im talking about the majority of gateway guys who have family payin for riddle or whatever flight college they attended.

Hey I resemble that remark, at least the Riddle part. Did it on the G.I. Bill though, one online class at a time. Eight years to get it done. THought that made me a doctor.

If it doesnt apply-let it fly.:) You earned it, but theres a contingent of riddle rats at cape who feel theyre entitled to direct entry. Im not saying they cant do it- just that they could be a little more humble and realize how lucky they are. Many qualified regional fo s with 121 jet time who are gonna be junior to a guy whos 2 years out of college with only 402 experience. I wonder how the jb captains feel about this btw

Agreed- there are lots of knobs riddle who fall into that category (and yes I went to riddle, and still paying off the loans 10yrs later). Cape Air has a great bunch of pilots though, and I'd be happy to fly with them.

I loved it until it was time to go. And one of my good friends is riddle- payin off his loans each month. Its a tough nut doin it on yur own.

LOL yeah there do seem to be a few. I imagine 402 to 320 or 190 is a bit of a jump. Heck I'm nervous about going there from a Piaggio, if they call.

That said, there isn't much you could teach a seasoned Cape Air guy about flying in the soup. I flew 402s on "The Rock" for two summers, (not Cape Air) and that was just enough for me.

Riddle produces arrogant 172 Captains that believe 120 hrs in piston single makes them god's gift to aviation.

Its the crew environment and the speed that will take gettin used to for those guys. Cape was the heaviest workload flying and sweating and freezing made a 15 hr day longer- all in all the most fun Ive had flyin. Would avoid goin back though- im spoiled now.:D
