Jet blue application window

5000Tt is not written anywhere on the posting. The only thing preffered is 1000 turbine PIC and a bachelors degree. 5000 is what someone was told is "competitive" for people applying but by no means is it the "minimum".

However; they made it pretty clear that they look at the whole package. If you have something else to balance out the hours, then you'll be good. You are well above the minimums - if you find someone willing to give you a blue dart, you get an automatic interview. If you've got some JetBlue pilots willing to go into the chief pilots office and talk you up, they will most likely pull your application and look at it....and let your boys/girls know exactly where you stand.
For example, not having a 4 year degree doesn't help. However; they said if you don't have a 4 year degree, but have lots of glass time + multiple type ratings + demonstrate that you have the ability to learn, it will make up for that.
For me, I'm a hair above their competitive mins; however, I don't know a single JetBlue pilot. That is going to hurt me.
My gut feeling says that if you look at hours alone, it won't make a difference. A guy with 3500 hours, but has 4 JetBlue pilots walking in the chief pilots office with your resume will be 10 times more competitive than the guy with 7,000 hours and no JetBlue pilots on his side - this is me talking not them.
Turbine PIC time = highly valued
Turbine time (including helicopter) = highly valued
Glass time = highly valued
college degree = highly valued
Customer service = highly valued
What I am getting at, is without knowing what else is in your resume, then know one knows if you are competitive. You are above the mins, and if you have all the other pre-reqs, then you are qualified, and if you want the job - apply!

Got my Bachelors on Active Duty, Ratings after I retired. 5 yrs at a Regional (CRJ, 190). Got my own ATP so I could apply. One internal rec.
Just a few thoughts based on how things went for me at getting on board here. Unless you have a significant inside connection here, (I only knew one FO) here, then I felt it couldn't hurt to go to the job fairs and meet them in person. I didn't simply want to send in my app and hope for the best. I sought them out. They want people who WANT to be here. I was very committed to coming here so I attended the Vets in Blue, and Women in Aviation Conference, and was prepared to go to OBAP if the time came.
That would be THE single biggest advice, that I would pass...,
go to the job fairs that JetBlue attends. It means a lot in their eyes to see people taking the time, effort and energy to meet in person.
Where ever you decide to go, best of luck!

Jet blue application window
My qualifications are the following: 3500 tt, 2100 hrs on the A320, and 955 hrs turboprop. Currently work as an FO for an airline in south america. Extensive flying in south america (mountains) and the catibbean. I speak spanish. Currently working in my bachelors degree (40 credits left).
I have applied to other airlines but I haven't get any response. I think I still short with my total time, but I thought the A320 time will help me.
Thanks.
