This has always been the way at Jetblue. Leadership made the pilot group feel this way while promising better days ahead. Most believed it for many years as profit sharing sharing checks arrived sans cliffs and leadership itself pulled it own weight. There truly was a team atmosphere.

Maruster making that statement takes on a whole different meaning. The arrogance of the commentary as continuous cuts and unilateral changes are made to pilot issues while managements bonuses increase and become guaranteed based on the sale of the airline or increasing CASM have brought the reality of the situation home for many.

Perhaps it was naive to believe in those running the airline but Jetblue truly was a different airline 10 years prior. Today little difference exists between this or any other airline management. The one constant for other pilot groups is the system of checks and balances the union/management relationship provides.

Anybody know if they have started calling people for interviews from this current application window, or are they going to just wait until it closes before making calls?

Do you have several internal recs? That would help. Have you been to any career fairs to talk to the jetblue recruiters?

Submit an app and hope for the best. Generally they look for closer to 5000TT if you don't have 1000 PIC Turbine, but exceptions are made for those with strong internal references (or mil flight time)

I'm right at 5k, no internal rec, and haven't seen Blue at a job fair in the 4 years I have had an app in. 3300 hours PIC, but only about 200 is turbine. Current 121. I update my info fairly frequently. Nothing.

Keep plugging along. It was 3 years of updating for me (no recs).
