In addition, the company can now designate certain periods or pairings that will be premium pay. We have basically lost any control over getting premium pay and now it is subject to the company deciding if a trip will be paid premium or not.

So just tell everyone NOT to pick up open time....that should force them to engage premium time once they see that no ones picks up open time for straight pay.

When the company needs it they will still assign premium time and with our staffing model we have about 4 months of the year when the company will be giving premium trips away on the regular. I am happy about the pay raise, now we just need to get our total compensation up and protections in line with industry. Then again, I am also not a high time guy :-)

Is there some magic formula to shrink a letter? They need it signed and scanned, so I don't know how to shrink it anymore

True. We're at the mercy of JMs, RSAs and the company's whim when it comes to premium. And no doubt the summer we'll see multiple e-mails saying "Pick this trip up for premium pay....please!!!" Looking at open time the first week of January, we might even see it then. However, this isn't radically different than most other airlines. I drop this one squarely into the "Careful what you wish for" category. Guys want us to be like Delta, well, this is one step closer. Granted the actual pay rates still fall short.....

Where does it say signed and scanned? Maybe signed at the interview but how would it be feasible for someone to get a signed copy? A typical word doc for a rec shouldn't be larger than maybe 30kB's. Mine are all under 50kB's.

Thank you.. I now see where that is.
I'm wondering, am I suppose to see my old app somewhere? It still has a copy of my resume and the additional document section. That's it. Possibly because those are the two items that may need to be updated?

I don't think you can see your app once it has been submitted, but you can log in and change the profile info (additional docs) anytime. Most people have been uploading cover letters, letters of rec, and a resume if it didnt format correctly

There is no mechanism to do so. No union, no union sponsored message. The PVC would be in direct violation of the indemnification documents they signed leading to termination should they do so. Those pilots have already been threatened multiple times for the current message they provide.
The beauty of the DR is it constrains the message and maintains it one sided.

I Agree. No worries benz, your union wish may come soon. I just hope it works well for all of us...

That discussion is for another place though.. Good luck to all applying and happy holidays.
