Says we are asked to clean on while traveling on Jetblue flights. But it's above and beyond the duties of SIC/PIC. refrence the new comply file. Just updated my iPad. Saw it. There's your answer.

In one of my previous union careers I did lots of technical work. We got paid for that. Sometimes, when I really got lucky, I'd snag one or two "clean-up" days after the primary job was done. Man, I loved those clean up days, pushing around a broom, letting my mind wander, and really, truly making the place clean. I was proud of my work, and was certainly not above it. But, here's the deal: I GOT PAID TO CLEAN. I made just as good money on the cleaning days as I did on the primary work days.

This company DOES NOT PAY ME TO CLEAN. I do not clean here, and yes I am above it: because I AM ABSOLUTELY ABOVE DOING UNPAID WORK FOR MY COMPANY!! I will not do Non-required uncompensated work for this place. We are professionals, and you bet your a$$es we are better than that.

For what it's worth, I don't think the FAs should be cleaning either. They need a short break as much as anyone else. We should have cleaning crews on every turn doing all of the cleaning. That's what real airlines do.

Just heard it over on the UAL thread. Their pilots are being asked to pump the lav in between flights. You can't make this stuff up.

Your MEC allowed a vote on a TA that gave away profit sharing and your medical records. How about you worry about your own problems and we'll worry about ours.
