JetBlue Cabin cleaning

In one of my previous union careers I did lots of technical work. We got paid for that. Sometimes, when I really got lucky, I'd snag one or two "clean-up" days after the primary job was done. Man, I loved those clean up days, pushing around a broom, letting my mind wander, and really, truly making the place clean. I was proud of my work, and was certainly not above it. But, here's the deal: I GOT PAID TO CLEAN. I made just as good money on the cleaning days as I did on the primary work days.
This company DOES NOT PAY ME TO CLEAN. I do not clean here, and yes I am above it: because I AM ABSOLUTELY ABOVE DOING UNPAID WORK FOR MY COMPANY!! I will not do Non-required uncompensated work for this place. We are professionals, and you bet your a$$es we are better than that.

For what it's worth, I don't think the FAs should be cleaning either. They need a short break as much as anyone else. We should have cleaning crews on every turn doing all of the cleaning. That's what real airlines do.
