oh wise b6 now that is not nice. Now you are being negative towards me at a time when I need more help and positiveness.

It is funny though, when you are negative it has to be about Dave Bushy. I think he is a great manager and businessman and we are LUCKY to have him. If you would get to know him he is a really nice guy. He has not done anything wrong....and no he doesn't write the questions to the survey.

Lighten up Francis - I would saddle up to the bar and buy you a beer anytime!

Default This IS entertaining!!

Current score: one sort-of slam: from banger [quote] Quite B**chin'! :-)

And 2 Blue D*mn it!! we agree on something!! DBushy is a businessman. I'm not sure about if we are lucky or not. I certainly don't agree with his houscleaning of the assistant chiefs. Or his penchant for eliminating rig trips and in so doing creating cr*p trips that lower the overall productivity for the line guy. BTW, I'm not senior enough to be awarded any 13:30's, I only get them by luck with FLICA.

I applaud DBushy for trying to save us some money, but why at the expense of the pilots and this then creates poor moral?? DBushy claims he has absorbed the JB Values but then wants to take away perks like the Leather Jackets but gives us red squeezy-balls, blue baseballs and snowglobes!! Anybody have a pricetag for those wonderfull gifts?? [I did like the fleece jacket, at least it is usefull. ]

See??? I'm a conspiracy guy too. DBushy is from a company with less-than-stellar relations with it's employees, and I believe that that Dave is too ingrained with those previous-company values to really absorb ours. So he is out to save money at the expense of the employees, mainly pilots. Notice how we seem to hire a new VP of toilet-paper or handbaskets virtually every week?? I'm sure he has to approve at least some of those new positions.

And I do believe that IF DBushy was looking out for the pilots that he could find a way to add a few extra $ to our paychecks and to not make our medical coverage worse. Time will tell.

This is a very scary time for us, NWA, and Delta going into BK in the near future, Then we will be competing aganst FOUR airlines in BK. They don't need to increase prices, so we won't be able to and fuel is killing us. So I try my best to keep the rose-colored glasses on, but it is tough at times.

Peace guys, fly safe.

Dave Bushy was well liked over at Delta! He is also well liked at JetBlue.

He is part of a management TEAM. He is not a renegade. He doesn't do anything that his bosses don't approve of or tell him to do. Housecleaning of the assistant chiefs? So now the boss is not allowed to rearrange anything? It is not personal. It keeps things fresh. I am sure everyone will be back in some role or capacity and contributing.

Leather Jackets? BIG DEAL. Getting rid of trip rigs, 13:30 are excellent initiatives. The whole point is pay for performance at this company!

This is NOT a scary time for Jetblue. With a pilot casm of .5 cents and overall casm of 5.89 cents we can withstand a level 5 hurricane.

Even a .6 pilot casm would be a 20% pay raise for all. Things can only get better from here on out.

Exactly! Dave is a nice guy. Seperate the man from the job. He was hired to save money. Leather Jackets, Trip rigs, crew meals. He is doing his job well. At the end of the year he can list all the money he saved and ask for his contract to be renewed at a new salary.
