Also, what are the non-rev bennies... parents, kids, spouse? Free, unlimited?

Just the employee. Parents, kids, and spouse all travel free and unlimited, with the exception of Mint. That's a $75 charge pp one way.

Thanks. I couldn't see giving my parents free passes but asking them to clean on the way out :)

I was referring to Bunker comparing the behavior of B6 to Spirit and Frontier. We should all have higher standards than the way those 2 are going.

Pilots aren't required to clean. Never have. It's not a job description and never will be.

When you're riding the airplane for free, as an employee, you are. You're not using your pilot benefits, you're using employee benefits. This is an important distinction.

This is why ALPA can't grieve the conditions to non-rev, or it would have by now. It's not under their scope.

It's not currently under their scope. It most certainly can become under the scope of the CBA, and I fully expect it to, and will not support a CBA that does not include the following:

NO CLEANING - EVER - not on duty, not when non-reving.
FREE UPGRADE TO MINT - whenever possible. REQUIRED UPGRADE TO MINT when DH - behind paying pax, but above all comped upgrades.
PIC discretion to upgrade any JS pilot to MINT, when available.

All of those items can certainly be contained in our CBA.

I expect ALPA to deliver the "market rate" contract they are promising. I interpret "market rate" to mean right up there at the top in line with Delta, United, and SWA. I expect "market rate" to include pay, work rules, retirement, vacation, sick, scope, health care, other benefits.

I still have apps out, and will continue to have apps out. When we get to "market rate", I will be much less likely to move if given the chance.

Even if they, for some crazy reason, give us 2X, or 4X BETTER than market rate, I WILL NOT CLEAN. I also WILL NEVER DO A STANDUP PA. You'd have to be crazy to do a stand up with what's happening out there with all airlines these days.

This needs to be in there.

There isn't. Don't set goals that your enemy can control.
