To those at a regional considering Jetblue-- it's not that bad (although we have a long way to go to make it great.).

my suggestion to regional guys us simple--

1) apply to the big 3 and Jetblue. Go to the big 3 if they call first.

2) if Jetblue calls, come here and keep updating your resume. I think Jetblue is light years about any regional and a good place to wait for a call, if nothing else.

.....and it's really only the "Big 2" now since going to AA for anyone off the street is a long-shot. I've been hearing United is only hiring only about 400 this year, which isn't good. Delta is probably over 50% military.

Someone wanting to leave for a Legacy might be waiting a while still. Let's all try and make JB the place we want it to be.

Agreed. But in order to do so, all of us have to come to terms with truly how far behind we are. Some people here take factual statements like a personal attack on their grandmother. In denial, ignorant or just plain old juicers? Not sure could be any of the three, but hopefully they start seeing the light. No one should have to want to leave for a legacy.

Why not just hire from regionals and LCC's? So many of us applying for years and nothing but crickets...

Telling good people to avoid coming to JetBlue because of a temporary situation is detrimental to the pilot group in that it leaves the bad apples as the only ones that get in the door.

And telling anyone to stay at a regional vs come to a major is like telling someone that life outside of prison isn't so hot, might as well stick to three hots and a cot. Besides, the guards are kinda nice sometimes. There is no future for lifers at the regionals and they are the worst place in the 121 aviation world if not most of the aviation world to be at. And having too many hours there is detrimental to your resume for some of the legacy groups. The fact that people leave with a smile to go to some really shady Ops or work at lowes is a testament to that.

Tell prospectives how your career is going, encourage them to talk to others and let them make a decision. If they think the legacy carriers are worry free, respect their pilots, respect reservists, never have massive problems with IROPs, always stay at the best hotels and have the best looking FAs, they will make their own decision to go there and be sorely disappointed. But be paid better. For now.

I like it. But I'm not ignorant to what is sorely needed.

Default JBU App

Hey guys at the end of the application where it says you can download up to 10 additional files including letters of rec etc... Do they also want you to upload a copy of your ATP license and medical? I'm having trouble finding a way to format it so that it fits their upload size criteria

Not necessary. That's for LORs, etc.
