From top to bottom jetblue operates more like a regional with big airplanes than a major. You essentially have milenials in management positions with zero industry experience making critical financial, route, order and safety decisions.
While this type of management is beneficial with respect to passenger issues it continues to show a regional airline level of dysfunction from an operating standpoint. Whether you've been here a year or 15 it's difficult to deny the consistant level of dysfunction. As a front line employee who's career depends on the behind the scenes decisions being made by these individuals it is very difficult to take.

"Regional with big airplanes" could not be stated more correctly Ben. In both OAK and LAS, the Captain and I had to take alternate transportation to the hotels when ACT and Larsen never showed. Jetblue, in its frugality, has proven unable to care for crew on the road effectively. No contract will fix these problems.

I feel like I know the answers to these, but...1. Is there any way of knowing which equipment/base slots are available prior to a particular new hire class starting? 2. Can you specify a particular equipment type or base and wait for that class? I'd like the luxury of knowing what I'm getting myself into before I quit my current relatively decent job and take the plunge.
