Default Questions

Didn't see anything current on these so thought maybe someone could answer a few things.

For a new hire what are bases and planes for shortest reserve time? How long is reserve?

How hard is it to get FLL or MCO or about how long would you wait and is it only one type of AC flying from a specific base?

Is there a way to avoid Long Beach?

Is there a minimum amount of time you can drop down to or is it impossible to drop trips?

Is there a Commuter policy?

What is the current upgrade time. I would think the 190 would be quicker? Just a guess.

Is it hard to get or expensive for crash pads in BOS OR JFK?

Thanks I appreciate it

BOS 190 or JFK 320 are usually shortest reserve

FLL I think within a year if you get 320, it's only a 320 base MCO 190 maybe within a year as well but it's senior

you won't get it if you don't want it

min credit is 70. You can use PTO to go below that if you have some in your bank

Is there a Commuter policy?
Yes but I don't know it sorry.

4 years on the 190 in BOS or JFK

dont have one but I think around $250 in East Boston
Thanks I appreciate it

MCO has been running longer than a year. My last FO is trying to get to MCO, and he was in his second year.

The way they've been running the classes lately, the entire class can bid on whatever is available. For instance, there were 6 LGB slots available to the last class, but no one had to go there because there are plenty of other slots in JFK/BOS. I'm not aware of how many chose LGB, so there may still be 6 for the next class.

FLL is longer than a year. Most junior FO to get awarded FLL on last bid is a November 2015 hire with a June transfer. 1.5 yrs would be a better estimate.

If you want MCO, you'll ge there quicker on the E190, but it'll still be a couple years.

MCo 190 is almost exactly at 2 years now... 320 is much much more.

Crashpads in New York are running $275-300 for decent places in Kew Gardens. May be a bit cheaper in Ozone Park but then you're in a tough spot for LGA flying..

There is honestly no good answer for that question. Unlike most legacy carriers with substantial retirements upgrade at jetblue is largely dependent on expansion. The retirement numbers are insignificant.
