Bills in congress are negotiated all the time & not in secret. Likewise, many union negotiations, not just airline, are imparted to the membership during the process. If there are distinct advantages to not being transparent at all, what are they?
Thanks!

My guess is this next contract will make or break this company. Alot is riding on the 300 erf freighters being delivered. I think Boeing has alot riding on this as well as the company. Boeing's quality has gone to hell which is sad. It's basically the replacement when the last 747 gets parked. Got the popcorn ready! I may have to bid the 747 to get the trifecta at kalitta!

Nope, part of the reason the 300s have been so delayed is because of Boeing. They have been very uncooperative, especially since these are direct competition to the up coming 777X-F. Why the door system will be fairly jerry rigged, Boeing wouldn't let them get into the AIMS.

Does Kalitta plan to retire their 747’s in the next few years or are they planning to keep those around for years to come? I know the 777x-F looks like a great airplane with some impressive range and payload capability, but they are also expensive. And with Boeing’s problems with getting the 7X certified along with the max issues and other problems, makes a lot of people question Boeing’s quality. I’d imagine all of K4’s 74’s have long since been paid off and buying some brand new 7X’s would cost a lot of money upfront.
