Change is in the air
The sweet smell of a fall rain. The clean refreshing air. Leaves turning and azure gold and red. There is hope on the horizon Kalitta brothers and sisters. The first tribal vote is in. No more convicted felon leadership this time around. After only finding one person that actually admitted voting yes on last contract there is renewed hope. The collective interest of this pilot group will be well heard. Fight we will for industry standard pay and working conditions!!

Good luck with ALPA. Historically, they get tuckered out in short order when negotiating for ACMI dirtbags like us. I saw it at Atlas. Now you guys are really going to pay for your decision to leave IBT. I hope you all socked away a LOT of overtime with those 24 hour duty days.
And I wish you all the best. Rising tides lift all boats, etc.

What is the industry standard? Where is it defined? Who defined it? Is the standard tied to some sort of index so that it is updated automatically, or is it static? How does it get changed? How often? How do changes to the standard get promulgated to interested parties? How can you be sure your negotiating team is using the current version of the standard?

Something to consider; the first vote absolutely confirmed the displeasure with the chairman. Bear in mind that the head of our MEC was not the only problem, the First Officer Rep was as much to blame as he was, in getting this abomination of a contract rammed down our throats. Giving this individual an opportunity to continue to serve on the MEC would be a huge mistake.
