Voting for the new MEC is now open. Think long and hard about who you want to support, and what your next council will look like. If you are happy with this contract, and the group that persuaded a significant number of individuals to vote it in, stay with the current leadership. If you have buyers remorse, and would like a fresh perspective vote for the Mossman slate. He and his team have the talent, and ability to move us forward.
The future is in your hands, you can make it whatever you want.

Thanks CO. What a silly thing to write. Do you think that Pilots are to stupid to know that? Do you not think that they don’t look at all of the variables before deciding to stay? In your one dimensional world it may be a simple decision to leave, but to most others it gets complicated. I would think that the pilot group would be better off without people who look at the situation, amount of effort required to improve things and then think that the best option is to leave.

It’s important for everyone to evaluate how this current group has done representing the pilots. My opinion doesn’t matter, because of my short time left in the profession. What is noteworthy is the fact the current contract only passed by 17 votes, and it passed for three reasons. First, most of the older pilots voted yes, because of their age. I feel this was shortsighted, but it was a personal choice. Second, there was a large voting block that voted together, and third, and probably most importantly, around 150 eligible voters did not take five minutes of their time to case a vote. I encourage everyone to look at your options and determine who would make an effective leader, and then vote.

"The truck driver union" has been pretty good for pilots at Horizon. Maybe the local/bargaining group leadership is more important than the name of the national organization.
