Okay...it's very unwise to talk about what is, or would be, acceptable on an individual basis as it may undermine our negotiators at the table.
However, I will point out something UNACCEPTABLE :
The pay rates proposed are not even close to an Industry AVERAGE, as they are based on a 64 hour guarantee when the rest of the Industry averages about 72 hours a month.
Therefore, annual salary of a 12 year max. Captain would be more than 33k / year LESS than the Industry Average.

^^^^^^^^^^ This is what we DON'T do on a public forum.
Effectively, you may have just hamstrung the negotiators at the table when they try and negotiate a higher guarantee.
Management: " Oh, ( handing copies of posts like this back across the table ) you must be out of touch. Your OWN people agree that it's not necessary or deserved. "
And never fall into management's trap of " segment of the Industry " nonsense.
Using that faulty logic, I'm sure K4 pays much less than the rest of the Industry for fuel, insurance, Boeing parts, etc., etc. etc. because we are "ACMI ". (?)
No...they pay Market Rates to fly a Boeing 747.
OOPS! Except for one, most crucial , component : You and I.
Just sayin'.

Yeah I tell people in other segments of the industry about the 62 hour thing and they look at me with astonishment. Please dont negotiate to mediocrity....negotiate to excellence. This is the time to reach for the stars!

If one was given the option of either Kalitta or ABX, what do you guys think would be the best deal? I think that if you guys end up getting a good contract, Kalitta would be the place to go. Of course it sounds like the upgrade over at ABX would be much quicker. Also, Kalitta seems to fly to many more destinations, which is nice if a guy wants to see the world. I'm just curious what everyones opinion is on which would be the better place to go and why. Thanks

Everything changes.... What looks good today could be bad tomorrow.
PanAm, TWA, Eastern, etc....
Chasing an upgrade is not always the best option. A lot depends on your age, lifestyle, experience, etc.
