Default Disney vacation

Taking the family to Disney land and had a few questions I'm sure can get answered on here:
4 of us, 2 adults, a 4 year old and an infant

Flying into either SNA or LAX, best transportation options? We are considering taking car seats but if they had them already that would save us some extra luggage. Need flexibility since we are non-rev and will probably decide that morning which airport to fly into.
Could rent a car but our hotel is right there at the park and we don't plan on going anywhere else.

Cheaper ways to get between LaX and SNA if we needed to?

And for any United folks, in regards to vacation passes, do you list just the employee as a vacation pass and the rest of the family flies under that priority or does each person need to have it? And how many passes will get used for the round trip? 1 leg out and 1 leg back home

One of the easiest ways to get back and forth is Supershuttle. You can book that from either airport to Disneyland. I don't know how far in advance you have to schedule, so if you don't decide which airport you are going to until the last minute, that could be a problem. I know car rental companies also rent car seats, not sure about Supershuttle.

As far as ground transportation I recommend you go UBER. Just download the app to your phone and then you can get a fare estimate before you order a car (can be used anywhere point to point). It is a very inexpensive option out there to use. They have different levels where UberX is for up to 4 people and UberXL holds up to 6, and then they have even more fancier options for really nice cars etc. Its pretty cool, try it out!

Both LAX and SNA have the Disneyland express bus. Airline crews get a discount.

Just call them and tell them you are an airline employee. Plus one kid gets on free per one paying adult.

If you're military, and I'm guessing you are based on your avatar, definitely buy your parkhopper passes at a local base. They have a killer deal right now.

And definitely fly into SNA if you can. It's actually a very short cab ride away.

Take the shuttle. I took a 5, 3, and 1 year old last year and not hauling carseats is glorious.

We go to Disneyland almost once a year. I know you said you don't plan on going anywhere else. I would say rent a car, the reason for this is that you could go to walmart the first day and get snacks (which you can take into the park). There's lots of options for food outside the park but it does add up, if you eat inside the park or outside. Plus you can go to other places that's not close to the park. We normally take jetBlue and fly into LGB, which we just take back roads to the park.

If you have wheels you can go to the beach for half a day, Newport is just minutes away and a nice break from the Disney madness.
