Default Anyone getting hired without a degree?

I'm curious if anyone has been called/ or is getting hired without a degree? If so would you mind maybe providing some info such as which airline, how long your app was in, if you had Recs, and times? Thanks for everyone's input!!

There's always someone who has, but it's long odds without one. At least at the legacies

UA at one point said they had 3 non-degrees in the previous 1800 new hires. So it's not impossible....

Flow guys can flow without a degree.

If referring UAL, it's NOT A "FLOW"......

Thanks. Flow is from wholly owned AA regionals. There's no requirement for a four year degree if one chooses that path.

3 out of 1800..... wow. Looks like I need to prepare to waste time and money to get a ridiculous box checked.

Waste of time or not, yes it would be a good idea to get a degree

Yep. But his post mentioned UAL, and didn't make any mention of AA.

So BEFORE people get more confused than they already are about the UAL CPP, I simply made the distinction.

And of those 3 non degree pilots hired at UAL, one has been fired

God, what an idiot...........

I can't think of a single major airline pilot I know without a college degree. That should tell you something.

When American, United, Delta, Southwest, FedEx, and UPS have literally 10,000 apps on file, they get to be selective. HR needs a discriminator, and college degree seems to be an even bigger discriminatior than PIC time. That should tell you something as well.
