If you live in an AA base then go there. If you’re going to commute forever go to UPS.

Do you have anything of value to add? Or are you just a Jim Cramer lemming?

Regarding AA qol

Depends how much you value it. You could spend half your career the #1 737 FO in LGA and probably have a sweet life

Right now junior Widebody Captain is, for the most part, in the 2000-2500 range. Once all the 787s arrive and the 767s are parked I would guess junior widebody Captain might reach down to 3,500-4,000. With a seniority list that will probably be greater than 16,000 by that time. So you would need roughly 12,000 pilots senior to you to retire before you could hold widebody Captain.

Ridiculous. It's like, how could a mail-order DVD company ever compete with Blockbuster?

Pan Am was not that big. Famous, yes. Big, no.

Any of the big three is probably about at least five times the size of Pan Am.

Now any of them could gradually dwindle away to the point of irrelevance but that would take many years. In the meantime they are too big to fail.
