The OP wanted to know basic questions about Brown - we’ve put so much info out on the UPS threads: pay, schedules, vacation, benefits, retirement, contract summaries, etc., that anyone who has spent even a little time researching over there should have a pretty good idea of what the gig is like.
Yeeaaahhhh, about that... I’ve spent some time over there. And FedEx. And AA. And United. And others. For whatever reason, Brown remains more a mystery to me than the others.

I’d still jump in a heartbeat if offered knowing full well it’s better than my current regional gig. But the details of UPS has been harder for me to grasp than the rest.

If you just don’t get something, and genuinely still have questions...just ask.

Honest question, not looking to flame but trying to gain context- what happened in the ‘08-10 time period with regards to UPS/FedEx? Did they grow? Stagnate?

Pretty sure they stagnated not only bc of the recession but you also have to factor in age 65.

Ups furloughed. Not because they had to they were still wildly profitable but because they could.

The difference between now and 08 is the retirements, unless they raise the retirement age guys are leaving.
Spirit on the other hand has a super young pilot group and I believe the OP said he had 23 years left so I would bet he wouldn’t retire in the top 500 there.

I “don’t not” do it on purpose. You know how the autocorrect can be.

Similar situation for me. Currently at SWA, but holding recent CJO’s from AA and Delta. Caveat is that I live near Sacramento. Keep driving 2-4 hours to OAK (in Bay Area traffic) or take the relatively easy commute to LAX? I’m 43 years old with a military pension. Is the answer always Delta?

Not a bad problem to have. The answer is always Delta, but being able to drive to work (even if it's 2 hours) is priceless. From a career progression standpoint though, you'd be better off with DAL or AA. It just depends what your priorities are.

What’s your seniority at WN? Curious as to how many in my peer group still consider the other carriers.
