I can agree with this logic, as long as they block those seats from revenue passengers too. They can’t use the “safety” as a reason if they block it from non-rev or someone trying to JS, but allow a revenue passenger to sit there.

Same argument can be made with the emergency exit rows; a safety task that is sold at a premium. The only requirement or training is being able to nod your head “yes” and have $60 bucks to spend

So is it the company or the FAs that are pushing a policy that leaves non revs/jumpseaters behind? Is it on all airplanes types?

Default Delta Jumpseats - Harder to get / Fewer

This is ridiculous. I’d love to see the look on a Delta pilot or flight attendant face when he or she tries to get on one of our 321’s and I say “sorry we have to kick you off even though there are a couple open seats back there because the flight attendants need it incase we fly into any unexpected turbulence and they can’t use their Jumpseat.”

You’re not going to say that, and you won’t have company policy backing it up.

Hear you roar.

But you already know that the last row of seats are anywhere from 1 to 3 feet from the jumpseats.

Try again.

I believe they’re talking about the flight attendants who are positioned in the front but happen to be in the aft galley at the time.

The A321 has FAs who sit in mid-cabin jumpseats, not close to either galley

This seems ridiculous. Why stop at 2? Why not empty all 6 so the entire crew can sit back there in turbulence together?

FA's feel entitled to an empty back row for a number of reasons, none related to turbulence.

How many jump seats are 1-3 feet from the aft galley? How many FAs work the aft galley on a 321?

Try again.
