Is this still a thing since SWA retired the OPC? I thought it was the opc hardware screws that were catching on side pockets, but maybe I am wrong.
Also, now that we don't have the OPC, can we raid the warehouse full of FD2 Jumpseat footrests (next to the wiper switches and window shades) and install that factory standard equipment so that when I am forced on to that medieval torture device I can still feel my feet?

Congratulations to Ethan on meeting the Kickstarter threshold, looking forward to the new suitcase.

Just got mine today; I was using a travelpro 21 suiter before. Overall I’m quite pleased. I feel like I lost about 10% capacity due to the beefier plastic shell and lack of an expansion zipper, but honestly it was time to cut back a bit anyway. I feel much more confident that the bag will last and protect anything I put inside. He definitely delivered on the design changes. The handle is awesome, still feels different, and I know how much pilots hate different, but it’s a much better design and easier on the wrist. Wheels look like a cakewalk to replace. Honestly I feel like you could completely disassemble and reassemble the entire bag in an hour. Overall it looks unassuming, like any other roller, which I like. I was never a fan of the luggageworks “Look ma, I’m a real pilot now” styling. J hook seems sturdy and I appreciate the extra attachment points they included.

Seems like if you're hanging something on the J hook that 2-axis handle would be a PITA.

Go over a curb crooked or unlevel ground and you can't use the grip to keep the bag from tipping on its side.

Also can't slide a bag over the handle.

It’s way more comfortable the 99% of the time I’m not going over a curb, and it’s easy to just grab the cloth handle to lug it over.

The J-hook sits low and there’s a buckle for a second bag above it.

Hasn’t been an issue for me but those are valid points.

Got mine and have enjoyed it. I like the fact every part is replaceable, the handle is nice. But, can’t really feel much of a difference with LW. Overall a nice bag but not really a game changer

So this new Helix roller from Ethan's KS campaign:

Anyone feel like the the nylon handle is way too big/long? When you grab it, the roller is slanted. A little strange why it was designed that way. And an additional handle at the bottom or side of the bag would have made this even better. Not sure why this bad only has one handle. And the zippers that store the upper handle are TINY. :/

Agreed, I think my biggest complaint is the j hook is only attached by a piece of fabric. No idea how this will be replaced when it’s beat up commuting via RJs.

Yeah....kinds annoyed that there isn't a side handle....it was a useful item on the vortex bags, as was the extra handle by the base.
Oh well....."different" and I just hope I don't have to cut the "J" HOOK off if I need to gate check since it's sewn on....I been using the plastic clip on straps for front carry (longer walks or escalators )when I wasn't going over the top handles, no longer an option with the single tube.

Like I said before, congratulations to these guys for making it happen. I’m disappointed though.

1. zippers are quite small
2. handle is awkward to function
3. j hook and buckle are sewn together, wish they were separate and easily removable.
