End of 2019 salary survey

Hate to tell you but a day on call is a day of work.
I bid reserve a lot (15 days/month) but I only fly about 8.
I am still working 15 days a month.

Not really.
I see many here on this thread from several legacy carriers with similar earnings for the amount of days off.
7n7 schedule at NetJets equal 182 days of work minus 28 more days (4 weeks of vacation) which occur in 21 day increments when considering the 7 days off prior and after the vacation week. That’s a lot of time off. It’s not FedEx time off but still very good.
Can you get that much time off at Alaska?
It’s about choices: Money or Time off.

5 year Spirit Captains are making 250k easily. And yea, comparing a 16 year NJA captain to a 5 year Spirit captain will yield similar salaries. Again, not impressive to be making 250k in this industry at a “career” job as a captain at 16 years. NJA salaries don’t come anywhere close to airline salaries for a given YOS.

13 more SICs got the upgrade today to the Phenom and Latitude. Any of those new Captains choosing 7n7 should be able to pull $250k without too much issue. CC72 $275k, CC76 $300k.
NJA salaries are, in fact, commensurate with many major airline opportunities. There currently are no scenarios where NJA pilots are telling FedEx or UPS (or DAL) stories but then again... no Alaska pilots are either.
Much progress has been made to the CBA over the years, especially recently. There will be more positive happenings in 2020 as well ....

NetJets doesn’t currently have any 5 year Captains. Between growth at Spirit and attrition to other majors, I’d imagine things are moving at a good clip for Spirit upgrades.

A 10 year SWA FO can easily hold a schedule working 12 days a month (and if you want to go there, 6 days for 4 months a year with vacation).
That is working one day a month less than your 52 schedule, on which a 10 year NJ FO’s base pay is $105K including the 401K match.
The SWA FO will get $220K in base pay including DC and PS.
Both have healthcare for free.
Yes, there is premium pay possible at NJ, and if I add 1 day per month of premium to the SWA FO, to get him on the 52 days per 4 months that’s another $24K minimum.
And that is the worst case scenario, everyone else at the big 6 makes more money.
Can’t believe I am even replying to you. Everyone has said this already, and you just keep going on......

What is this supposed to mean? No one is leaving form Netjets for these operations? Cause they are, I have several friends at NJ that are waiting for class dates right now.
And I have a close friend that left for AK, loves it. Making 40% more then me with about half the work and 2 years less YOS, and I cycle on off the “busy schedules” and Try to extend, hard to get those days anymore.
I would be trying to leave if I didn’t think the company was stable, had a different personal life, and/or didn’t enjoy the flying I do.
If you come to Netjets, don’t be fooled by the pay some of these captains are bragging about, that same amount of “work” days at any ULCC/LCC/ACMI/Cargo/Major and even some regionals if you can get into training departments, will net you 10s and maybe even 100 or more thousands per year for the same YOS.
